Justex has had a written multiple choice promotion test process devised by professionals for over 20 years. Now PROFILE offers a valuable new service: the Essay Question Option. PROFILE has identified 25 personal dimensions that distinguish the capable police manager. One of these dimensions is written communication skills. Every chief will agree that their managers and commanders need to be able to write well. However, written communication is difficult to measure in a traditional test and must usually be evaluated in an assessment center. Assessment centers can be expensive and may not be feasible for all departments. Now PROFILE allows fair and objective evaluation of the candidate’s writing skills by means of the Essay Question Option.
